Mean Mama Films: A Production Company in Thailand & Asia

My name is Daria “Dasha” Kopach, a Bangkok-based producer, creative executive and founder of Mean Mama Films. Over the past 20 years, I’ve produced and overseen 1,000+ hours of film and television, working across scripted, unscripted, features and international production.

Thailand has been home for more than a decade. I previously served as VP of Production at Storilab / Major Cineplex Group, and my recent work includes Love Lesson 010 for OneD, which reached #1 on Netflix Thailand. I’ve also worked internationally with UN Women, UNICEF, and other UN agencies, and mentor emerging creatives through universities and industry programs.

I created Mean Mama because international producers need more than permits, equipment and a local crew in the region. They need someone on the ground who understands the creative ambition, knows how production really works here, and can make difficult things happen.

I’ve been the producer asking for the impossible and the producer on the ground figuring out how to make it possible. Mean Mama was built to connect those two worlds.
