Thailand has been home for more than a decade. I previously served as VP of Production at Storilab / Major Cineplex Group. My recent work includes leading the writers’ room for Love Lesson 010 for OneD, which reached #1 on Netflix Thailand. I’ve also worked internationally with UN Women, UNICEF and other UN agencies, and mentor emerging creatives through universities and industry programs.
I created Mean Mama to bring that experience to international teams filming in Thailand and across Asia. Our production services cover the practical work of a shoot, from location scouting and filming permits to local crew and equipment. My role is to understand the creative ambition, build the right team around it and work through the decisions that bring it to the screen. For projects that need a local producing partner from an earlier stage, we also work through co-production.
I’ve been the producer asking for the impossible and the producer on the ground figuring out how to make it possible. Mean Mama was built to connect those two worlds.

WHAT WE DO
Mean Mama Films is a production company in Bangkok with three kinds of work. We provide production services for international films, series, commercials, documentaries and reality shows shooting in Thailand and Southeast Asia. We come on as a Thai co-producer for projects that need a local producing partner. And we develop our own original series and films for local and international audiences.
SELECTED CREDITS
Before founding Mean Mama, Daria led the writers’ room for Love Lesson 010, which went to number one on Netflix Thailand, and produced long-running comedy for Russian television, including Happy Together, the 365-episode adaptation of Married... with Children, University and The Interns for TNT.
In unscripted television, our team has run the Thailand production for Big Jackpot. Bangkok on TNT, Tomboys (Пацанки) and Survivality. Heirs (Выживалити. Наследники) on Пятница!. In documentary, Daria has made films for UN Women, UNICEF, UNDP, UN Environment and UN DOALOS in more than 20 countries. Recent commercials include Robinson Crusoe for VTB Bank, shot in Chumphon, and RAZE Body Spray in Bangkok.
THE COMPANY
Mean Mama Films Co., Ltd. is registered with the Thailand Film Office as a Foreign Film Production Coordinator, which means we can apply for filming permits and the Thai film incentive on behalf of foreign productions. We are based in Bangkok and Los Angeles and work in English, Russian and Thai.
Daria holds a master’s degree in social psychology and business, serves in an advisory role for the UNESCO Ocean Decade, and mentors emerging filmmakers through universities and industry programmes.
